ADMINISTRATIVE

Education Manager

As a member of a small administrative team in a highly prolific theatre company I am regularly required to carry out duties beyond those in my job description. My responsibilities have included:

·     Managing Out of Joint’s diverse educational programmes and the budgets as one of the company’s key fundraising portals.

·     Conducting and writing workshops that complement Out of Joint’s creative programme.

·     Organizing all workshops done by Out of Joint associates at schools, theatres and universities. This includes training associates to deliver the workshop to Out of Joint’s quality standard.

·     Writing all of Out of Joint’s Education Packs, which includes performing extensive research and analysis of the play in order to share Max’s rehearsal process, taking and using photographs of the rehearsals and working with the cast and creative team to deliver a comprehensive pack that illustrates the process of creating the production.

·     Running and managing Out of Joint’s Performing Arts Academy

·     Supporting Out of Joint’s production team in the day-to-day running of the company.

 

OUT OF JOINT from July 2013 to May 2015.

PA to the Artistic Director and Education Administrator

As a member of a small administrative team in a highly prolific theatre company I am regularly required to carry out duties beyond those in my job description. My responsibilities have included:

·     Supporting Artistic Director Max Stafford-Clark with his day-to-day work reading plays, setting up meetings, contacting possible co-producers and other Artistic Director duties.

·     Participating in the casting process for Out of Joint’s plays, by sitting in auditions, contributing my opinion on candidates and suggesting possible actors for the parts being cast.

·     Managing Artistic Director’s email, mail and diary, arranging meetings with designers, writers, students, press, etc.

·     Managing Out of Joint’s diverse educational programmes and the budgets as one of the company’s key fundraising portals.

·     Conducting and writing workshops that complement Out of Joint’s creative programme.

·     Organizing all workshops done by Out of Joint associates at schools, theatres and universities. This includes training associates to deliver the workshop to Out of Joint’s quality standard.

FREELANCE from May 2013 to June 2013.

Production Manager for Juana in a Million, London run at Southwark Playhouse.

·     Stepping in at the last minute to ensure the play ran smoothly and that production was taken care of.

·     Managing the running budget of the play.

·     Drawing up contracts for the cast and creative team.

·     Arranging for promotional material and programmes to be printed and delivered.

·     Assisting writer, performer and producer Vicky Araico Casas in liaising with all the different consultants hired during the show and ensuring the timely delivery of their product/service on time.

·     Responsible for the preparations of a mini-symposium with Queen Mary University, workshops and post show talks.

·     Making payments to cast, creative team and third party service providers.

·     Liaising with Southwark Playhouse’s marketing team to promote the play and ticket sales.

·     Collecting charity donations after each performance on behalf of the Latin American Women’s Right Service (LAWRS).

 

THEATRE AND EDUCATION

LONDON SCHOOL of DRAMATIC ART from March 2015 till June 2016

·     Teaching part time acting students during their Naturalism module.

·     Directing the students in two extracts from Chekhov plays (The Seagull and Ivanov) for their end of module assessment.

·     Directing part-time students in a shortened version of God of Carnage by Yasmina Reza for their end of module assessment.

·     Providing the students with the support and skills needed in their training to become professional actors.

·     Teaching Acting for Camera for the Advanced Diploma students and guiding their preparation to shoot a monologue for their show reels.
